Allen takes a look back at pop culture in the 1980s and the effect that the Queen of Pop, Madonna, had on gay rights and the fight against AIDS; when top-rated TV shows like Golden Girls and Dynasty addressed gay issues and Phil Donahue hosted a gay marriage ceremony on his daytime talk show.
